Biodynamic Craniosacral Therapy is a gentle touch therapy that has evolved from the work of Osteopathy; a modality that works with the whole body, identifying and releasing physical and emotional restrictions. Some of the principles that BCST shares with Osteopathy are that:
- the body is self-regulating and strives for a state of balance
- the body has an innate knowledge to heal itself through self-correcting mechanisms
- the power that made the body is the power that heals the body
- the body is more than just a collection of individual parts; all body systems and structures function together, influence one another, and act as an integrated whole.
